I'm entering the world of blogging. Crazy. It's amazing how technology has boomed! We're all typing about our lives. Whatever happened to the writer's hump, that journal I use to WRITE IN, the 6th grade pen pal letters. These times be changing.
Well I've got three topics to talk about for this first blog post o mine: two year olds who can sing and dance, the temple and pocky.
Meet Isabelle, a two year old that dances and sings. My mom babysat for a lady she visit teaches today, so Isabelle and her five month old brother Keoki were over at my house this afternoon.
I discovered that Isabelle could sing when she came into my room and spied me playing on my guitar. She came over all excited to try the instrument out and once she'd mastered the strumming, she began singing with the chords she was strumming. It was adorable.
Later on I found out she could dance too. I had my ipod serenading me with a bit of Ricky Martin (lol yea hadn't listened to the guy in years, thought I'd try it out again) and she just started dancing. It was cute. I joined in.
Yea so this afternoon I was bustin some moves to Ricky Martin with a two year old. Fun stuff. Try it out sometime.
Then tonight was my ward's temple night. I thought that we were doing baptisms, but in fact it was endowments we had scheduled. Luckily for me I spotted the Bellevue 8th Ward in the waiting room (who were scheduled to do baptisms), so I joined in with them and was able to have my night at the temple. I was grateful for that.
I think the temple does for your spirit, what a full day at the spa does for your body. REJUVENATION. I drove home tonight feeling just that.. rejuvenated.
Last little topic of this post. POCKY! Tasty little chocolate covered biscuit sticks. My good friend Caroline Chong introduced me to them. You buy 'em at Asian food markets like Uwajimaya. I work off of 156th in Bellevue, so Uwajimaya is a common lunch location for me. I'll often browse the candy/cookie aisles on my way out to see if there's anything tasty to snag with my Yakisoba.
